Matthew 5:13-15 - "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men."

"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.”

· This text encourages Christians to act as examples of faith, witness and love (etc.) to their neighbors. How does it apply to your walk with God? Your relationships?

· The city on a hill has been used to describe everything from great universities to ancient Athens to Jerusalem to Utopian dreams of what a city or community could be like. How can a Christian community be called to live as a city on a hill?

· How can the idea of a City on a Hill be applied to Saint Vegas?
